Fenway Sports group are certainly going through a successful period as they own both the Boston Red Sox and Liverpool soccer club. Liverpool reached last season’s major European competition final and are now challenging for their first Premier league title this season.

Then of course the Boston Red Sox won yet another World series title. They were a very popular selection with online sports betting punters, so the question now arises can they do
it again in 2019?

History
Having been established in 1901 the club quickly progressed into one of the leading sides in the sport. This was shown as they landed the first World series back in 1903, and the success followed as the club had notched up five World series titles by 1918. Following the recent 2018 success we now have nine titles to date, putting us as one of the most successful sides in the competition. As many of us know we are one of the most popular and well supported sides in Baseball and hold the sports record for the most sold out home games in succession, with a total of 820 between 2003 and 2013. The Red Sox are also involved in the biggest rivalry in the sport with the Yankees.

2018 season
The 2018 season was one that the side went in with a lot of confidence of success with a very strong squad. The Red Sox progressed through to the final with victories over the likes of the Yankees and Astros. The 3-1 success over the Yankees of course included the memorable 16-1 thrashing that pushed us to a 2-1 lead in the series. The final saw us take on the talented Dodgers side, but it was another comprehensive 4-1 success.

Chances of a repeat victory
So what are the chances of a repeat victory later this year? We are the current general joint favorites with the Houston Astros, with both the Yankees and Dodgers both close behind in the betting. All sides look strong, so it would come as a surprise were one of them not to land the title come the end of the season. If the Red Sox can return in the upcoming season in the same form, then they must have a strong chance of adding to their impressive haul off nine titles to date.
