Tonight marks game one of the Red Sox – Yankees 2014 rivalry. Last season the Yankees finished 12 games behind the Sox in the AL East and missed the playoffs. So they loaded up by acquiring Carlos Beltran, Brian McCann, the flavor-of-the-month Japanese phenom, and some fast guy to lead off and play center field. All in hopes of besting the Red Sox.

I’m completely over players leaving the Sox to wear the pinstripes, but I do miss Jacoby Ellsbury. I hope he isn’t going to be one of those guys that haunts us for the next several years. The big story for me tonight is Clay Buchholz. Is he going to be the guy that kicked ass at the start of last season, or the guy that got his own ass kicked on Saturday?
