the-future

I mentioned in an earlier post that Red and I have ten years “in the books” writing about the Red Sox and building our little neighborhood on the interwebs. For better or worse, the magic is going to continue into 2014 and hopefully well beyond. Surviving Grady aside, I wanted to mention some other projects I’ve got in the works.

It’s always been a dream of mine to be an author, to be specific, an author of horror fiction. This year, I plan to release several of my works, either through “traditional” publishing channels or via the self-publishing route. The first piece to hit the virtual shelves will be a short story called The Beginning of the End, which will be part of an anthology I am working on with several graduate students at SNHU. The story is an actually an excerpt from a novel that will be published later this year. All proceeds from the anthology will go to charity (most likely the Jimmy Fund). More on that as the release date approaches.

My first novel, Haven, is currently in the hands of a potential publisher. If it ends up being rejected, I plan to self-publish that one this year too. Finally, a third novel is in the works. Two hundred pages were written in a blur for the 2013 NaNoWriMo and the rest will be done this year.

Why am I telling you this? To ask a favor, of course. Please check out my website, www.tomdeady.com for more information on the upcoming releases. More important – “like” my Facebook Page and follow me on Twitter @deadytom.

Looking forward to a great year, and thanks in advance for your support.
