Other than Hanrahan, I think they overpaid for average guys. I think I’d prefer Morse over the oft-injured Napoli.

But I’d like to see the Sox make a run at him if the Napoli deal ultimately doesn’t pan out.
I would hardly call this a dismal off-season. I have liked the majority of Ben’s moves this winter. No strangling long term deals, good clubhouse guys. Will they compete in 2013? Don’t be surprised if they do.

He is only 20 and has tons of power and a pretty good OBP.  I think of him as Willy Mo with an “actual” plan at the plate. (unlike Willy Mo’s ”swing at ball hard” plan) 
I know BP is different than live pitching but some of his BP balls that I saw are hit this year were in places only steroid powered McGwire reached before.
