I remember 1986. My first trip to Fenway, and my lifelong Yankee fan dad had tickets for a 3 game set against the MFY's. We sat right next to the Red Sox dugout for two games and three rows back for the finale. That was good stuff, seeing Don Baylor, Wade Boggs, and other guys like Marty Barrett.
Good times, good times.

WOW -- that's before John Dennis started dying his eyebrows!
Hendu's HR was one of the good memories from that year, but I still get shpilkis at the thought of John McNamara not putting in Stapleton for defensive purposes in the 9th inning of game 6 of the World Series. ARRRRRGH......this post also reminded me I had one of those cheapass painters caps that were the rage back in '86.....it had all the players names on it including "Stapes".
