I've thought about it some more, and the answer is still "no."
I suggest that they jump at the opportunity to hire me while I'm still available.
Of course, there'll be free tickets (3rd base line) for all Surviving Grady readers.
Thank you for your support.

I don't get the fascination w/Farrell. It was under his watch that both Beckett & Lester became cutter happy and lost velocity off their 4 seamers. Obviously Beckett's conditioning (or lack of) & Lester becoming stubborn and dour didn't help but Farrell had no effect on that either.

You bring up a good point about the Red Sox and their obsessions. Aside from Renteria and Lugo, there was Dice-K, who they fixated to the tune of a $50 million posting fee just to talk with him, and Gonzalez, who they traded after less than 2 seasons. If what we've read about the clubhouse issues in Toronto are true, the Sox could be jumping out of the frying pan and into the fire. I don't recall any of their obsessions actually working out in the long run. And to give up a decent player or prospect to a division rival? That would compound the stupidity. It's not 2007 anymore, Red Sox!
