Yankees should have kicked him to the curb after he made them look like assholes and opted out of his first contract. Instead they reward him with MORE money and TEN years. My guess is he gets popped for PEDs next season. His ego is too big to not try and get back to form no matter what it takes.

I agree- Jeter is as great an ambassador for the game of baseball as A Rod is a sucky one. I have never disliked Derek Jeter, just the team he plays for. He gives it everything he’s got every game and you cannot disrespect that. Seriously, he probably should have been DH ing instead for trying to play on a bad foot. I hope he heals well and is out there again next year to play the game he loves.
Good for us that the Yanks are stuck with A Rod for another 5 years. He’s doing nothing but helping the other teams at this point. Maybe the Sox can win a few more from the Yanks next year if A Rod continues to be this bad.
I sincerely hope the Yankees go down in 4. Go Detroit!!!!!!!!

Last night’s game was fantastic viewing, I must say. Yanks can’t buy a run, 1/3 empty stadium for an ALCS game, and A-Roid getting absolutely slaughtered by their fans. AND they’ve got him for another five years at, what, $25-30 mil a year?
The TBS commentators were ripping the shit out of them too – players and fans. I particularly enjoyed the ‘They don’t have a full enough house to properly boo their team’ comment.
Bloody brilliant.
