I want Bo Porter to manage the Sox. If you've seen clips from the Nats Cubs dust up last night you'll know why. Watching him leaning over the rail of the Cubs dugout giving it to Quirk and NOBODY on the Cubs going near him reminded me of Wensink challenging the Minny bench. That's what the Sox need.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-85qLSvztnQ

Afternoon! A bit weird to be in the same time zone as most of you, for a change! Drove past Fenway after being picked up from the airport, which was a great sight. Only two days until my first game! (I'm not going to make a sign)It's nice being able to actually watch NESN on TV and see pre and post-game stuff, as MLBtv never shows that. And AC is my favourite thing in the world right now. :D

Ordway: You always seem to be deep in thought. Tell me, what are you thinking right now?Karl: I was thinkin', I'm gonna take me some of these taters home with me.Ordway: How about before that?Karl: Well, let me think... I was thinkin' I could use me another couple cans'o that potted meat if ya got any extree.Ordway: You've never coached a professional baseball team, Karl. Why did you choose to come out of the institution and take over the helm of a clearly dysfunctional base ball club at your advanced age?Karl: I don't think anything bad ought to happen to children. I think the bad stuff should be saved up for the people whose grown up. That's the way I see it.Ordway: Oh really? So just what management tools do you bring to the Red Sox that'll turn the franchise around?Karl: Some folks call it a sling blade, I call it a Kaiser blade.Ordway: Ha ha ha! What'cha doin' with that lawn mower blade Karl?Karl: I aim to kill you with it.Yep. It's only up from here.

Great line-up, Red. Allow me to also suggest Karl Childers. http://cdn2.hark.com/images/000/004/903/4903/original.0 Karl's been on the sidelines for a few years since making his star-turn in "Sling Blade," but he's tan, rested and ready for action once more. I can't say that Karl knows any more about baseball than, say, Glenn Ordway, but his post-game press conferences would make the highlight reel on a daily basis. Ordway: You always seem to be deep in thought.
