Man, today all of the national shows played excerpts from Beckett's post-game presser. Dan Patrick, Colin Cowturd, SVP, all of them. Beckett is now known as an assclown nationwide.
The "my off day is my off day" remark will now rank up there with Iverson's "we're talking about practice, man" in the pantheon of "Athlete's Who Just Don't Fucking Get It"
Wow. Is he actually trying to force a trade or something?
Or is his ego really that big?
Maybe he's hoping we'll trade him to Texas. I think we should trade him to somewhere like Minnesota. Mrs ESF favours Seattle.
I almost have nothing to say. Honestly, where do we go from here? The rotation just sucks, and a trade is not going to save them. As far as the quote, ESF and I probably will want him to give back his salary and just go away.
Fresh from Beckett's lips: "I spend my off days the way I want to spend 'em." and "my off day is my off day".
OK, I like this "score a run every inning" strategy, but you're going to need to score more than one run in an inning pretty soon.
The only reason to watch now is to see my latest imaginary girlfriend in that Ace Ticket ad. The nervous girl in the glasses with the tea cup. Oh yeaaaah. :-)
I like Bryce Harper and I think he's gonna be a fine player, but the way the Nats color guy slurps him is borderline creepy.
One thing I'm thankful for, though, is that the Sox have been freeing up my evenings earlier than usual here lately.
