Remember who the 5th starter was at the start of the season when we ran away with the East in 2007? Whenever I get down about our current lack of starting depth, I just think of Julian Tavarez and I feel better.

Good news is, he’s apparently critical but stable in hospital, thanks to the quick treatment he received on the field.

Tough to win the East? Same as it ever was then. As the Zen Master says, however, we’ll see. Which can’t start happening soon enough in my opinion. Three weeks, only three more weeks.
