Forget all those things your grandparents told you about seeing the first robin or the stupid groundhog as being the harbingers of spring. We all know that the first true sign of spring is the Red Sox equipment truck rolling out of Boston. And that happened yesterday, bringing us one step closer to the 2012 season and putting last September to rest once and for all.

I'm super excited for the new season - this is my first year as a US resident and I can't wait. We finally made the move from England to Californai in November. Like ESF I'm hoping to get to my first Sox game this year. If not in Boston I should at least be able to take in the series at Oakland in August. Looking forward to getting to AT&T Park reguarly too.
