Do you ever wonder if the NFL is really just America’s greatest reality show? A step up from Survivor or Fear Factor maybe…but not that different? If you saw all of the “fluke” plays in the Conference Championship games yesterday in a movie, you wouldn’t believe it.
The touchdown catch that Lee Evans dropped.
The missed field goal that I could have made with my left foot.
The Kyle Williams fumble.
The other Kyle Williams fumble.
And the result: a ratings-grabbing rematch of the 2007 Superbowl that will probably bring in even betting on both sides. The networks win, Vegas wins and the NFL wins. The alternative? A game that half the country wouldn’t care about and would probably be one-sided on the betting line. Do I really believe the NFL is fixed? No, but I’m watching them. Ah, who cares, the Pats are in!

I *so* look forward to the day each February where football is FINALLY over for another year.
