…will always be “David Ortiz and Dave Roberts Ruin 2004 for New York.”
Could we have another Christmas Present coming?
Not sure but would the Sox be stupid enough to try Dice-K all over again?
That was October, how about we get an amazing surprise on 12/25/2011?
Maybe we sign a bonafide right fielder? We have not had one since Trot.....
@invisiblefan It's been the left side of the infield as the revolving door since Theo took over, and traded Nomar. I dunno what he was thinking with that Lugo signing, could've had Cabrera for two more years on shorter money too. Still, Lackey is the worst signing, one that will have me cursing him, the Cubs and his first born for eternity.
JD Drew took a lot of shit during his time in Boston, but no one can say he was not good defensively in right field. He wasn't flashy, but he was more than capable when he was healthy.
I call shenanigans on that assertion. @invisiblefan
@Madraider No arguments from ANYONE - ANYWHERE on the Slackey deal. He'd still owe us money if he pitched and won 40 complete games.
Don't waste any more time of energy cursing him or any of his connections or family.
The light of that deal makes the whole Drew deal look favorable.
I'm anticipating a very entertaining adventure this year. I got a feeling this is going to feel more like Texas Hold 'em than what we have come to expect from Boston baseball.
Fans love Trot because he was a "dirt dog" and don't like Drew because he shows no emotion...statistically there are very close...
That's very interesting when you take a look at the numbers.
Now, if it were a question of "Who do I want standing next to me holding a broken off pool cue during a bar fight?" the answer is Trot. No question.
