I still haven’t heard from Major League Baseball regarding my petition to start Spring Training immediately, followed by an opening day schedule played in climate-friendly parks to commence on March first. Because, let’s be honest, we need baseball. Both the NHL All-Star Game and the NFL’s Pro-Bowl were played yesterday, and I’m willing to bet a Murder, She Wrote marathon would have receive higher ratings.
Next weekend, we have the Superbowl (do I owe the NFL money for saying that?). Do you root for the team with the “alleged” rapist…or the other team? I am planning on DVR’ing it so I can fast-forward through the game and watch the commercials. And while Mother Natura plans another assault on us, I will calmly guzzle my tallboy ‘Gansetts and wait for spring.
