Indeed.  As much as I "despise" Judas, I thank him for that and the second home run which allowed me to relax JUST a bit.  I do not think I could have taken another close game to the end--even if we won.

An asskicking in the Toilet Bowl was the perfect ending!

I'll go with Bellhorn but I gotta say, I still remember the goosebumps I got when Damon hit the grand slam in Game 7 of the 2004 ALCS - that's when I knew we were going to vanquish the Evil Empire.

What about Mueller against Rivera in the Arod/Tek fight game?

In 2004--prior to the "excitement"--I had the opportunity to buy a book on the 1918 WS RS team.  I regret not doing that--it was in an old book shop, it was not expensive . . . mistake!

Heh.  I have that SI...autographed my Mr. Mark Bellhorn himself.  What a nice guy.

I vote for Papi's bomb last night with 2 down in the 9th to carry us to a win over Spitty McSpitterson and the Rays.

Wait...what?

Oh, then I'll go with Bellhorn too (nice call Red) but with a huge "Fuck Yeah!" shout-out to Hendu's hop in '86 just for the pure enjoyment factor. And seriously, how many other homers in history have resulted in the pitcher trying to catch a bullet with his teeth years later?

Now having listened to it, not a bad argument for Mark Belhorn--but why not his daggar in Game 7 of the ALCS?--but if not for Papi's . . . there is no Mark Belhorn in the WS.

So Most Famous is Big Papi, but Honorable Mention to Mark Belhorn in the WS, but also agree with Judas Daemon's Grand Slam which allowed so many fans to relax JUST a WEE bit.  To which I would also add his 2-run later which buried them further.

Now if 2004 was a "fluke," 2007 sort of validated the RS.  So a few points for J.D. Drew's grand slam in the 2007 ALCS.

And David Ortiz crushing the MFYs like shredded wheat in his mits is a WONDERFUL fucking image! :)

Just started listening, but Big Papi because it extended a series that became The Most Monumental Collapse in Sports History , then Carlton for it being iconic.
