We want to look away. But we simply cannot.

We kid, of course, because we stand by our guys. But, man, if ever we needed some positive signs from Matsuzaka — something to give us hope as we barrel toward the second half of the 2010 season — I’d like to see ’em this afternoon.

Outside of the occasional request that Amalie Benjamin magically appear in my foyer to read me a couple books before bedtime, I don’t ask for much. But today, Daisuke, I’d like to see some flashes of the brilliance I know that you’re capable of. At least I think I remember some brilliance. Regardless, can we please just log a win in this last game before the break, and look forward to a healthy second half, full of plenty of righteous kicking of asses other than ours.
