The wait is over, Johnny Damon can finally wear his Red Sox World Series ring proudly.
“I started wearing it this past offseason after I knew I wasn’t coming back to New York,” Damon said yesterday before a Tigers-Yankees game was rained out at George M. Steinbrenner Field.
“I was in New York for four years and I couldn’t wear it then.”
Damon plans to sport both his rings: Yankees and Red Sox. I’m sure the Detroit folk will love that.
Jack Daniels shots before games and pumpkin-tossing out of hotel windows to also commence this season.
