I was being honest when I predicted that 2009 would be the Year of the Looger. Sadly, it is not to be, at least not here, as everyone’s favorite kick toy was sent to St. Louis. Somehow, I still prefer my idea of sending Josh Beckett back in time to keep Lugo from ever becoming a pro ball player. But that’s just me.
Meanwhile, today’s Globe notes that the stage is set for the Sox to make a run for Halladay. Stay tuned.
