Mike Timlin, AKA the guy what’s holding Dave Roberts in the photo on the cover of Surviving Grady: The Book, is officially locked up for 2008.
“We’re comfortable there. That’s a huge part of it,” Timlin said of his decision to return for a sixth year with the Sox. “If you’re comfortable somewhere and you’re having success, there’s no reason to change.”
Great, he’s comfortable, and that’s awesome, for certain. But for me, the coolest thing about Timlin coming back is that the tantalizing possibility of him charging from the mound and kicking someone square in the balls or inexplicably mounting and manning a gun turret above the bleachers remains in place for all of next season.
