Anyway, Nick Carfado mentioned in today’s Globe that to land Jermain Dye from Chicago, the Sox would have had to part with Hideki Okajima. Crikee! Sure, I’d love to see Dye’s bat in the line-up — anything that might jumpstart Ortiz and Drew, who past the season’s halfway point show no signs of shaking off their power outage — but at the expense of Okajima? Dude, that was the guy behind one of my favorite sit-down-and-cry-like-a-six-year-old-girl moments:
