I don’t care that it’s Spring Training and it just doesn’t count. Or that it’ll be two innings of Papi and Giambi then a steady stream of folks who’ll be working the night shift at Kinkos this summer. Or that we won’t see enough of Pavano or Wakey to get a feel for how they’re gonna roll this season. Or that Zimmer’s not there to barrel mercilessly onto the field and headlong into Pedro Martinez, who won’t be there either. It’s the Sox against the Yankees, goddam it, and I need to absorb every precious second of it. So, please. You know I love you dearly. But don’t f–king call me tonight anytime between 7:00pm and 10:00pm, Remy Standard Time.

Also, some of you have called us on this, but I just wanted to note that Denton and I have been hired by AOL to blog for their Fanhouse site. Not quite sure how we got invited to the party, as there are some ridiculously talented folks there, including The Postmen; Pat Lackey of Where Have You Gone, Andy Van Slyke; Tom Fornelli of Foul Balls and John, Nick & B from The Dugout. As if you folks don’t put up with enough of our shyte on this blog, you can catch additional, uninformed garbage from Yours Truly and Denton over at Fanhouse.
