The Manny watch is over, everyone is at camp, and thank God and L. Ron Hubbard it’s time to play some baseball.
Spring Training games aren’t “real” baseball but it’s certainly better than talking about Dan Roche’s stylish attire or a possible trade of Wells for Ted Williams’ head and a player to be named later. Tonight, if I’m not mistaken, we get to hear the magic that is Joe and Jerry’s voices. And we get to see what may very well be the future of the Red Sox rotation in Jon Papelbon.
Game one of the thirty-something games we’ll see against Minnesota feels like game seven of the ALCS against the Yankees when it’s March 2nd, doesn’t it?
